The 4x5 Bag Bellows is, simply, a light tight bag that replaces the standard bellows. A bag bellows is required for short focal length lenses because the distance between the front and rear standards is very small when focusing these lenses. The pleats of the standard bellows get so compressed that one can no longer do swings, tilts, or other view camera movements. By replacing the standard bellows with this poofy, light tight, bag you can get the pleats out of the way and restore the ability to use movements.

The bag bellows is mounted on a set of frames identical to those for the standard bellows and is, therefore, interchangeable with it.
