The ground glass composing screen kit includes the necessary parts to build a ground glass frame that holds the included
piece of Maltese Brand Satin Ground Glass. The frame mounts to the springs of your Pinhole Camera Kit to add a ground glass back just like you'd find on a standard view camera.
By using an oversized pinhole on an extra lensboard you can provide enough light at the film plane to actually see your image and compose the photograph. This is something generally unheard of in pinhole photography! It can give you a greater degree of control, if that's what you desire. The image will, of course, be fuzzy because of the oversized pinhole, but the arrangement of elements in the scene will remain when you switch to the optimized, sharper pinhole to create the final image.
