USED LENSES
for View Cameras
.........at bargain prices!

The lenses listed here belong to Jay Bender, personally. He is always on the look out for good deals on used view camera lenses. When he sees something that would be of use to his customers he buys it, cleans it up, usually shoots a bit with it and checks the workings, coverage, etc. and then lists it here. Most are re-sold at the same price he bought it for, knowing that helping someone get a good deal on a lens will make them more likely to buy a kit. It's what you call a "Win - Win" situation....a good thing, indeed!

If you are interested in any of the lenses below, please call Jay at (509)763-3849 ASAP, because they usually don't stick around for very long. He gets new, different lenses from time to time so call to see what he has right now. You can also email him.

8x10 Lenses
9-1/2" Goerz Dagor Series III No.4 (240mm) f6.8 - $195.00
This is lens is an older, smaller profile, lighter weigh lens. The glass is in good shape, no fogging, but does have some minor blemishes that do not seem to affect image quality appreciably. It is mounted in a compound shutter with speeds B, T, and 1 second to 1/100th of a second. I do not have a shutter speed tester to verify, but all the higher speeds seem to fire at the appropriate speeds. At shutter speeds slower than 1/10 sec, the shutter seems sticky. This may be correctable by exercising the shutter, but you may also need to just shoot at the higher shutter speeds.... for the price, not a terrible option. A small piece seems to be missing from above the shutter speed dial, I believe where one would screw in an old "Bulb" style cable release (works with air). This does not seem to affect the operation of the shutter at all. Fstop range is from f6.8 to f45. There is no flash sync post. There is also a standard cable release socket on the side of the shutter mechanism. Retaining ring is not there, but the lens is mounted on an 8x10 Bender Lensboard (as pictured).
